Ready, steady… and action
ITN Source is a global moving image library company with more than 800,000 hours of TV and film clips from news and sport to high-quality drama and wildlife footage.
It was looking for a partner agency to help expand its business, reduce costs, extend market reach and improve its customer proposition by redeveloping its website. What’s more, ITN Source wanted LBi to develop an online expression of the new brand work created by its branding agency.
A site in a flash
Working closely with Dave, we designed an online expression of the ITN Source brand to a tight timeline. In fact, the LBi technical team moved heaven and earth, breaking all records with their Salesforce, EPiServer and Autonomy integration, completing this first phase in just seven weeks.
ITN Source: the sequel
Completion of the second phase means customers can now view clips on the site as well as a new collection of ‘concept’ clips likely to be valuable to creative agency customers. Greater functionality was also added. Project users can search by keywords, date or copyright as well as select, manage and share clips.
Hold the front page
The third and final phase will introduce e-commerce and e-fulfilment functionality. With a shopping basket, users can price, purchase and download digital clips straight from the site. This makes ITNsource.com the first site of its kind. In a later phase next year, there will be personalisation functionality, an events calendar, RSS feeds and more. Initial feedback indicates the new ITN Source site should be up for an Oscar.
