Q. What’s your proudest achievement at work?
A. Managing the delivery of estate agency system for Royal & Sun Alliance. It was a very complex undertaking with large cross-functional team including client developers and offshore team working together. Delivered on time and on budget, with seamless transition into operations under the client team.
Q. What do you always have on your desk?
A. A copy of the book Peopleware, by Lister and DeMarco – a truly invaluable guide to building productive project teams.
Q. What’s the tightest spot you’ve been in?
A. Underestimating the difficultly of a mountain “trail” in Maine. Expected a spot of hill walking, but got stuck half way up and getting down was more difficult, with added anxiety of rapidly approaching nightfall. Subsequently found out that the trail should only be attempted with climbing gear – it pays to read the guide book in advance!
Q. What’s your dream job?
A. Professional cyclist.

A. Winston Churchill – for his wit and wisdom.
